Communities cannot develop or grow without basic elements in place, including clean drinking water, ultra-safe sewer and wastewater disposal systems, barrier-free sidewalks and public facilities, navigable streets and roadways, qualitative day care and senior care centers, vital emergency services and the comprehensive planning that makes these services and more possible. The department’s programs offer communities financial and technical assistance to address their specific projects at the time when help is most needed.

North Central RC&D Office
The North Central Nebraska RC&D Council is a non-profit organization sponsored by six counties, five Natural Resource Districts, twenty-nine communities and three Chambers of Commerce. The North Central Nebraska RC&D Council partners with communities, organizations and agencies to assist the local people in the development of their communities, counties and region.

Nebraska Development Network
The Nebraska Development Network works to connect business and community leaders throughout the state with people within organizations, agencies and the private sector who have stepped forward as partners in community and economic growth. More than 475 organizational members represent 8,000 individuals within the Network. Members include businesses, educational institutions, elected officials, governmental agencies, chambers of commerce, statewide associations, commissions, tribal governments and utilities.

The Loup Basin RC&D Council is a non-profit organization sponsored by nine counties, including Blaine, Custer, Garfield, Greeley, Howard, Loup, Sherman, Valley and Wheeler. The Loup Basin RC&D Council partners with communities, organizations and agencies to assist the local people in the development of their communities, counties, and region.
