Nikki Johnston, Chairperson for the Central Nebraska Housing Developers, has been involved with housing programs for over 13 years. As the Clerk for the City of O'Neill, she has been instrumental in establishing housing codes and an inspection process that has improved the quality of homes in her community.
As a Family Outreach Coordinator, she assisted families in setting and attaining goals to achieve self-sufficiency, and housing was an important component of that program. Nikki has seen first-hand how improving the quality of homes impacts families and communities.
Nikki is on the O'Neill Family Preservation Team, is Past Co-Chair of the NCHH Statewide Continuum of Care Committee, is Co-Chair of the Continuum of Care, is a Central Nebraska Housing Authority Member, has served on the Nebraska Commission on Housing and Homelessness, and is a member of several Municipal Clerks Associations.
