About CNEDD

The Central Nebraska Economic Development District (CNEDD) is a 15-county regional development organization that encourages cooperation between local government officials, community-based organizations and the private sector. The District provides the link between federal and state programs, and the local level where development actually occurs.

Investing in the Future

CNEDD serves the following counties in Central Nebraska: Blaine, Boyd, Brown, Cherry, Custer, Garfield, Greeley, Holt, Howard, Keya Paha, Loup, Rock, Sherman, Valley and Wheeler.

CNEDD is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of private citizens, public agencies, and elected officials who represent various economic interests. Each of the 15 counties located in the CNEDD service area have a representative on the Board of Directors, who is appointed by their respective county board. In addition to the 15 county representatives, a public service representative and a private citizen representative make up the 17-member Board of Directors. Click here for Board and Staff.
